The original of the e-mount cameras (along with the Nex-3), the Nex-5 was innovative for having a larger APS-C sensor in a small size. However, it's a bit limited by today's standards with its loud shutter and CDAF. With no phase-detect pixels, focusing is best in good light, but AF is not as good in lower light or on moving subjects, and generally slower than PDAF cameras.
